Our story began in the 1930s in Chicago, Illinois, where a young Michael Pontikes worked alongside his father in a family-owned tavern. Michael learned the ropes of the foodservice industry during the Great Depression and continued his journey after serving in the US Navy. With a lifetime of experience, Michael and his youngest son, Scott, opened the first Scotty P’s in Frisco, Texas.

Today, the Pontikes brothers continue to run Scotty P’s, now with multiple locations in five suburbs of Dallas.  Having served over 15 million guests since 1999, we pride ourselves on being a family-owned operation, not a franchise, with complete ownership of all our locations.
